Ausie “Jeff” Beams

Ausie “Jeff” Beams is a Registered Physical Therapist, licensed to practice physical therapy in the states of Alabama and Georgia. He has extensive experience in a variety of settings, the majority of which is Outpatient Orthopedics.

When he graduated from UAB in 1996 he worked in an Outpatient Orthopedics clinic in Columbia, South Carolina, after which he re-located to Birmingham, Alabama, to practice Physical Therapy at HealthSouth Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Within a few years he became a multi-clinic Group Director for Physiotherapy Associates in Atlanta, Georgia where he practiced until 2007. When his father became ill, he decided to come back to his hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and eventually opened his own practice, Trinity Physical Therapy.

His clinical background includes outpatient orthopedics, spine, sports medicine, home health and geriatrics, balance and vestibular rehabilitation, and worker’s compensation.

Jeff’s philosophy is to treat each patient like a family member, and to empower the patient by educating them about their diagnosis and teaching the patient and their family what they can do to maximize the rehabilitation experience. He also believes in promoting a healthy lifestyle.  He and his staff encourage patients to become active, make good nutritional choices, and to learn ways to reduce stress and increase compliance in exercise programs.  Personal training is offered and encouraged upon completion of Physical Therapy, this way the patient can continue to build on the gains they have already made and incorporate a “total body” fitness and wellness program into their lives. A certified Personal Trainer and Exercise Physiologist works closely with Jeff to transition patients into our Personal Training program.
